Its November and its warm and damp, excellent weather for wild mushrooms. So it was off down some local woods to try my hand at some foraging.
Word of warning wild mushrooms are extremely dangerous if you don`t know what you are looking for and even then it is always advisable to do this with an expert. Note I did not go alone, I went with mushroom book in hand and the guiding hand of a local chef with a good knowlege of mushroom foraging.
The woods at this time of year are beautiful still full of wonderful autumnal colours.
After a good forage its off to the Restaurant to cook up something special. Locally produced pork shoulder, beetroot, crackling and wild foraged mushrooms, Dee-licious.
